THE ST. LOUIS CARDINALS are headed into one of the biggest series of the season this week, as they host the division-leading Milwaukee Brewers with a three game difference between them. What’s going on with the team and are they in position to make power move in Busch this week? Both teams will bring four game winning streaks into tonight’s game, and something has to give. Here’s what the Cardinals are bringing to the fray

LEADING OFF – Fish Fry: The club did something it hadn’t done since 2004: sweep a four game road trip. For a team that is chasing the hottest team in baseball, this was needed just to keep their head above water. However, the style in which it went down is a lot to get excited about. Albert Pujols and Matt Holliday played like they were swing their actual Silver Slugger Award bats from a year ago while leading an all out assault that ended the week long road trip in a promising fashion.

Holliday and Pujols did the majority of the weekend's work on just a few swings.
