The 2011   is in the book, which means that due to its mercury-like movement there are 50 new potential St. Louis Cardinals. However, with the start the club is off too, the goal of the week seems to be clear: get more arms, but get plenty of bats and athletes.

The Cardinals are heavy with pitching among their elite prospects; however they do lack impact hitting prospects. It is clear that the organization set out to continue to even the ranks out this year, and for the third time in four years, they selected a hitter with their first pick.

How did the Cardinals make out, how do the new young Cardinals fit into the picture with their big brothers in St. Louis and when? The rest of this article with more on that, including scouting reports and local picks today over in my column at STL Sports 360. Check in over there to the rest of this article and much more Cardinals info HERE.

The Cardinals made third baseman Zack Cox their top pick in 2010, with quick results following. Will their similar path this year do the same?
